We will use only five ingredients, puff pastry sheets, cherry pie, sugar, egg and milk in this easy recipe of cherry turnovers.

Ingredients For Cherry Turnovers Recipe

  • Puff Pastry Sheets = 2 sheets
  • Cherry pie filling = 2 cups
  • Milk = 1 Tablespoon
  • Powdered Sugar =1/2 cup
  • Egg = 1 large (beaten)

How to Make Cherry Turnovers

Step 1

Preheat your oven to 400°F temperature.

Step 2

Cut all 2 puff pastry sheets into 8 squares gently. Now place cherry pie filling  in center of every square equally.

Brush beaten egg on all edges of each puff pastry square, to seal the each turnover properly.
Fold the top left corner over the filling and press it bottom right corner, making triangle shape and seal all edges using fork.

Step 4

Brush a little each turnover from outside with beaten egg using pastry brush. Bake your cherry turnovers in preheat oven for 20 to 25 minutes until risen up and golden brown. Remove from the oven and let them cool for at least 5 minutes.

Step 5

For making glaze, take a bowl and combine milk and powdered sugar. Decor the glaze over ready turnovers before serving.
