Ingredients For Butter Braids Pastries
Ingredients For Dough
- Flour (All purpose) = 4 Cup
- Sour cream = 8 Oz.
- Butter = 1/2 Cup
- Yeast = 2 packet
- Sugar = 1/2 Cup
- Warm water = 1/2 Cup
- Eggs = 2 Large Size
- Kosher salt = 1 teaspoon
Ingredients For Filling
- All-purpose flour = 9 tablespoon
- Butter = 3/4 Cup (melted)
- Cinnamon = 2 tablespoon
- Brown sugar = 3/4 Cup
- Sugar = 3/4 Cup
Ingredients For Glaze
- Milk = 1 tablespoon
- Powdered sugar = 2 tbsp
- Salt = 1 pinch
How To Make Butter Braids Recipe
Step 1
Take a medium-sized bowl, add butter, sour cream, sugar, and salt mix all ingredients. Microwave this mixture for 40 to 50 seconds until the butter melts properly, mix again.
Step 2
In the electric mixer bowl, add water, yeast, sour cream mixture, and all remaining dough ingredients. Mix them properly with an electric mixer and make a soft dough form. Cover this dough and chill for a minimum of 8 hours.
Step 3
For making the filling, add all filling ingredients in a bowl mix them, and set aside.
Step 4
Divide ready dough into 4 equal portions and roll each portion into 8.5 x 11 inches. Add 1/4th filling mixture in each butter braid dough and spread it. Make cuts (around 10 to 12) down each side of the filling and criss-cross over each other, starting from the top side. Repeat this process for each butter braid. Take aside and allow them to rise for about 2 hours.
Step 5
Preheat your oven to 375 degrees and bake butter braids for 15 to 20 minutes or until golden brown.
Step 6
In a small bowl mix all glaze ingredients and drizzle warm butter braids, Serve Hot.
