- 300 grams Self-rising flour
- 375 grams Dried mix fruit
- 300 ml Strong tea
- 250 grams Light muscovado sugar
- 1 Egg (beaten)
- Butter to grease the baking dish
Soak dried fruit in strong tea brew, add sugar and mix it, keep aside overnight for steep.
Preheat oven to 150C, grease your baking tins using some butter.
After overnight steep or minimum 8 hours, add egg in fruit mixture and stir.
Now add self-rising flour and make a smooth mixture while beating.
Place this mixture in greased baking tin, make sure upper surface is fine even.
Bake it in oven for up to one and half hour or until bread become dark brown.
Remove from the oven and let it cool for 15 to 20 minutes, then transfer in a tray and cut in slices and let it cool down completely.
